I had an old pillow falling apart (sad, I kept sewing the edges, but it just wouldn't stay intact), so I stripped all the down and bought one of these to refill. It worked! No complaints. I took it to a seamstress to have the seam finished. I'm handy with a needle, but sometimes one wants that clean machined sewing line. If I were to do this again, I would buy two of these items and sew the edges together (3 sides) leaving three openings at the top (the two existing openings in the cases, and a new middle area created by sewing the two cases together) Then I would distribute the feathers in all three areas, finally sewing the top side to seal it all in. My original pillow was built this way, and it was only after I finished this project that I realized I could of remade it's design with two of these empty cases, by sewing them together. Having three 'vents' for the feathers would likely keep the down distributed, and add some durability. No complaints - my new pillow is better than my old one!
I liked everything about this product super soft finish easy to stuff can't go wrong
I made my own goose down pillow with this case. It worked great. No leakage at all. Nice quality, and as described. Love it.
The casing on my favorite down pillow ripped. I’ve had this pillow for years, it was perfectly worn and my absolute favorite! This casing saved it. It was super easy to transfer the filling and I hand sew it for closure.
Works great! Feathers aren't poking thru.
Bought for daughter to reuse her fave pillow stuffing.
Decent quality and size, but I was really expecting a zipper. One of the most useful parts about stuffing your own pillows is the ability to adjust the firmness as needed or over time. Having to sew these shut removes that benefit.
More than forty years ago, I made three down comforters using down from new pillows that I purchased.Unfortunately, the cotton pillow ticking that was advertised to be downproof is NOT downproof. Because I no longer use or need down comforters, I'm converting the down from the comforters back into pillows. If I could have located downproof pillow ticking fabric to sew my own cotton pillow shells, I would have sewn my own. Because I could not locate downproof pillow ticking fabric at a reasonable price, I have purchased several of these three pillow shells with the different thread counts. I've washed each pillow shell in my washing machine, and each pillow shell laundered beautifully. I do not know which thread count that I prefer because I have not filled them with down. I'm still working on the project! Some people have complained that the pillow shells do not have a zipper. I would not have wanted a zipper because the down could easily escape through the zipper's teeth. It will not be a problem to easily and effortlessly close the entrance hole using my sewing machine.I asked several questions about their cotton pillow shells on the Amazon website, but I received no answer. Therefore, I sent the manufacturer an e-mail and received the following prompt response:They are all Down proof and washable.Regarding the Tread count, really depends with filling you will be filling them.If you fill them with feathers then use the 233 TC and if you will use 100% down then use the 300 or 400 TC.I have been sewing more than 65 years, and I highly recommend all three high-quality, empty pillow shells!
Very high quality. Soft as silk.
Great customer service and an excellent product exceeded my expectations!
